A wide variety of the products we can offer are listed below, and if you have any questions on the products, availability or pricing, please do contact us so we can help you further. Due to the variety of units we have available, there are a number of variables to choose from, which include:
Power Supply Mounting Styles
DIN Rail Mounting:
- A large variety of our power supplies are available for DIN Rail Mounting, meaning they are designed to fit concisely on DIN Rail. We have a number of form factors available, such as the HDR range decided to have the physical appearance of an MCB, to a more standard rectangular design of the MDR Series.
- As sizes of Power Supplies have decreased we can also offer high output power DIN Rail Power Supplies, such as the LPF range which will provide 960W from a single phase supply whilst having all the advantages of DIN mounting.
- Along with higher wattages, we can provide voltages up to and above 110Vdc on a DIN Rail Mounted PSU. Along with this, we can offer wide ranging output voltages from 0-144Vdc with the convenience of DIN Rail Mounting.
Chassis Mount Power Supplies:
- Designed to be mounted directly on a chassis or internally within a system, they are a favoured solution for OEM and system installers.
- Available as open frame or enclosed power supplies on smaller outputs, the wide variety of power supplies available allows us to offer solutions from as low as 15W, up to and over 5kW in a single unit. If you need even more power, we have ranges of parallel output chassis mount power supplies, so just let us know your requirements and we can help with your requirements.
Rack Mount Power Supplies
-
Usually an industrial mounting style, rack mounting power supplies typically offer larger output sizes and more features than other power supply styles.
-
We have a wide range of output voltages available, including high voltage outputs such as 110Vdc and 220Vdc. With years of experience specifying units from a variety of manufacturers, if there isn't an obvious solution in our range online, let us know your requirement so we can help you further.
Sometimes referred to as DC/DC inverters, due to the wider variety of models, input ranges and output voltages, there is a large range of individual products we can offer to meet a growing requirement. If you don't see a suitable solution within our range for your specific voltage conversion, then just let us know, as our available range is so large there may be a product not shown that would be suitable for you.
Our DC/DC Voltage Converters are designed for a wide range of industries and applications, but most of the units you will find on this website are industrial level solutions. We are able to supply DC to DC Converters for the leisure and home use market, but just to ensure we understand your requirements it may be best to email us your requirements.
If you are looking for more features or controls then please see our range of Programmable Power Supplies.
Whilst our main product range is the industrial range by Enedo, we can offer lower specification units that can be used for leisure applications, or for installations that don't require a rack mounted solutions with all the features present in the DAC series. If this is the case for your application, please do get in contact with us as we are able to offer further solutions to you.
Industrial Battery Chargers are our main business, and you will find a selection of options as below. From the smaller enclosed solutions from Samlex, to larger, modular systems by USV Power, we are able to offer different solutions based on:
Form Factor:
- Chassis Mount Solutions - For applications where a battery may need ocassionally topping up, or for applications where manually charging multiple batteries is required, a chassis mount but portable battery charger series may be required. We have experience with many industries, so if you have any questions or concers
- Rack Mount Solutions - For static solutions that require constant monitoring, trickle charging or maintaining, Rack Mounted modular units may be more suitable. With experience in battery tripping units and high voltage systems, we can provide options and solutions for a wide range of specifications.
- 12Vdc
- 24Vdc
- 48Vdc
- 60Vdc
- 110Vdc
- 220Vdc
Alongside and incorporating battery chargers, we can offer further functionality products, such as:
- Battery Tripping Units
- DC UPS Units
The types of AC UPS we can offer can be sorted by a number of variables, including:
AC UPS Form Factors:
Tower UPS
A "traditionally" shaped AC UPS, the tower UPS is a rectangular shaped unit designed to be sat next to a computer, or office equipment. Fairly simple, with all of it's electrical connections to the rear of the unit, these can be easily fitted in to office environments easily and at a low cost.Rack Mounted UPS
Designed to be mounted within a 19" Rack Cabinet. Typically, these are used in server applications, but as we can offer units with over 3kVA output and large autonomy times, it is quite a verstile unit
Rack Tower UPS
Effekta also offers a unit that can be used as either a Rack or a Tower UPS. With it's longer form factor, it can be used for either application above whilst still being easy to install.Types of UPS
Line Interactive UPS
Line interactive AC UPS are designed such that in normal operation, the output is essentially bypassed through the unit, charging the batteries at the same time. In the event of a power failure, there is an approx 5 millisecond changeover time between the power stopping, and the batteries providing the load. For a lot of applications this is fine as there is capacitance in the system, which allows the process to complete and power from the batteries begin.Online Double Conversion UPS
For sensitive applications, an Online UPS is more suitable. These units have an internal power supply, so the AC input is convertered to DC, then back to AC again. This is why we refer to the unit as double conversion, as the voltage is converted twice. In these units, the power is continous, and the changeover from the mains AC to the battery supply is seamless. We can supply DC UPS Units in two variations:
- All-In-One DC UPS - A unit that includes a DC Power Supply built in. These typically take a 230Vac, and provide a DC output to the batteries for charging, and a seperate output to the load. These are suitable for applications wherein no power supply is setup, and a simple all-in-one solution is required.
- Redundancy modules - A unit that takes a DC input, making them a DC to DC - DC UPS, and then allows battery charging and an output to the load. These, like the "standard" DC UPS then ensure the batteries don't deep discharge. These are mostly used in retrofit applications where a power supply has been fitted, or as a lower cost solution to a single fitted unit.
